GenMark’s Scientific Affairs team is sponsoring an Antimicrobial Stewardship Research Initiative (ASRI) in Europe in conjunction with launch of the ePlex® Blood Culture ID (BCID) panels*. The goals of this initiative are to generate data which will illustrate the utility of ePlex BCID in enhancing antimicrobial stewardship and to engage the scientific community in helping to address the public health challenge of antibiotic resistance. GenMark Scientific Affairs will coordinate sharing of clinical outcome and study data for participants in the GenMark ASRI Program.
Initiative Details & Timeline†
To participate in the ASRI, clinicians and researchers are encouraged to submit study proposals designed to demonstrate the clinical and quality-of-care impact of implementing a rapid, routine molecular blood culture identification multiplex panel test.
Submissions should address one or more of the following:
GenMark intends to evaluate study submissions and select one or more qualifying submissions to support. In addition, all selected submissions will be invited to join the broader GenMark ASRI Program managed by Scientific Affairs.
