For Laboratory Professionals

GenMark is committed to designing high quality, multiplex testing solutions. Using both our legacy XT-8 System based on eSensor® Technology and our Sample-to-Answer ePlex® System, we provide solutions for a wide variety of genetic, pharmacogenetic and infectious disease testing for any size laboratory. GenMark has always been focused on designing panels to improve patient outcomes, while optimizing these solutions to improve laboratory operations to get the answer needed as quickly and as easily as possible.

The ePlex System offers a fully automated approach to syndromic infectious disease testing for multiple disease states, including respiratory infections and bloodstream infections. Combining electrowetting technology with our well established eSensor technology, the ePlex system can turn your patient’s sample into a result in about 90 minutes, with a hands-on time of less than 2 minutes per sample.

Designed for the Patient, Optimized for the Lab®

While many systems claim sample-to-answer capabilities, only the ePlex system is able to integrate the entire process from order-to-report to better realize the patient and laboratory benefits of rapid, multiplex molecular diagnostics. The ePlex system offers a number of unique time-saving solutions that were thoughtfully engineered to address the biggest challenges facing the clinical laboratory and to support hospital systems in delivering patient centered, value-based care.

Modular and Scalable to Meet the Demands of Any Institution

The ePlex system offers a modular and scalable design that provides a simplified path to adding capacity. With five different instrument configurations that range from 3 to 24 test bays, ePlex delivers consistent order-to-report service levels across institutions of any size.

And for high complexity laboratories, our XT-8 platform also offers options for genetic and pharmacogenomic testing.

What Our Customers are Saying

“We were really excited about getting specimens tested in-house, which reduced patient length-of-stay immediately. Since implementing ePlex RP2 Panel, we went from a 7-to-10 day turnaround time to getting results in under two hours. Everybody feels comfortable using the analyzer – it’s the easiest one to use that I’ve ever seen.” – Teri Robertson, BSMT Laboratory Director, Graham Regional Medical Center, Graham, TX. “ePlex Panels are simple to use compared to our previous process: one cartridge, one pipetting step, which helps our workflow, and keeps our staff from being overworked” – Jose Alexander, MD, Clinical & Technical Director of the Microbiology, Virology and Immunology Laboratories, AdventHealth, Orlando, Orlando FL.
